Account deletion
Delete my account
You can permanently delete your VidyaAI account and all personal data. This is your right under the DPDP Act 2023.
This is permanent. Once you confirm, your account, study history, notes, and quiz attempts will be erased within 30 days and cannot be recovered.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open VidyaAI on your phone
- Go to Profile tab
- Tap Privacy Centre → Delete My Account
- Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your phone
- Tap Confirm Delete
Deletion completes within 30 days. You'll get a confirmation SMS once done.
Option 2 — Request from this page
Don't have the app installed any more? Fill in your phone number and we'll process the deletion manually within 7 working days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, name, phone number, class, subjects
- All quiz attempts, scores, and study history
- All notes and uploaded content
- Voice recordings and uploaded photos (already deleted within 7 days normally)
- All conversations with the AI tutor
- Any linked parent account links (parent's own data is preserved)
What we keep (and why)
We keep the following anonymised, non-identifiable records as required by law or for service integrity:
- Aggregate, anonymised analytics that cannot be tied back to you
- Audit logs of the deletion itself (to prove we honoured your request)
