Terms of Service

By creating an account or using VidyaAI, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Who can use VidyaAI

You must be a student in Class 5–12 at a school using VidyaAI (or a parent of one), or a teacher/admin at such a school.
VidyaAI currently supports the NCERT, Telangana SCERT, and Andhra Pradesh SCERT boards.
If you're under 13, your parent must give consent before AI features unlock.
One account per phone number.

2. AI content disclaimer

VidyaAI uses AI to generate explanations, quizzes, and feedback. AI can occasionally make mistakes. Always cross-check important answers against your textbook before exams. Use the in-app "Report Issue" button if you find an error.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the app to cheat on a live exam, test, or assessment.
Attempt to extract API keys, reverse-engineer the app, or jailbreak the AI.
Submit content that's hateful, sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate for students.
Create multiple accounts to bypass daily usage limits.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

4. Intellectual property

The VidyaAI app, brand, mascot (Vidya the owl), and original content are owned by VidyaAI.
NCERT and state-board syllabus references are used for educational purposes under fair use.
Notes and content you create remain yours; you grant us a license to store and display them within your account.

5. Service availability

We aim for 99% uptime but make no guarantees. Scheduled maintenance is announced in-app where possible. We are not liable for missed exams or other consequences of downtime.

6. Termination

You may delete your account anytime at /delete-account.
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms after one warning, except for severe breaches.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability is limited to the amount your school paid us in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.
